case study

B2B2C window and door configurator for a major national manufacturer

Case study on the creation of a B2B2C CPQ configurator for a network of resellers and DIY superstores

The Client

The Problem

Growing your B2B2C revenue

This door and window manufacturer wanted to rapidly expand its business. To do so, it decided to leverage both its reseller network existing ones and on its distributors stores to reach end customers.

At the same time, a direct sales strategy via its website was also considered.

One constraint also had to be taken into account: the direct sale of doors and windows proves to be complexboth on a technical level, to comply with the constraints the buildings used for construction, but also from a commercial perspective, taking into account the multiplicity of options and existing accessories.

Our solutions

A CPQ for resellers and customers

The solution chosen to increase sales in a short period of time consisted of carrying out a joinery configurator for all their product ranges (roller shutters, PVC windows, aluminum, wood, entrance doors, etc.) and to make it available to retailers to generate their quote and allow their customers to pass order directly from the configurator, in a B2B2C logic and CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote).

A multi-brand configurator

To maximize its impact, the configurator implemented is multi-brand. This means it can be made available to every large DIY store (GSB) colors of his brand, with its logo and on a dedicated web page with a domain name of its choice.

This multi-brand architecture gives a significant striking power to the manufacturer for the distribution of its products while keeping in a single interface the management of configuration scenario data and all quotes produced and orders placed.

Order online with deposit

To facilitate order placement, a deposit system has been integrated into the last step of the configurator so that you can choose to validate your order by paying the deposit, request to be called back by an advisor or simply save your quote.

The Results

A strong presence in DIY superstores

The deployment of the white-label configurator to major DIY stores, on interactive kiosks and on dedicated websites has raised awareness of the manufacturer and helped to solidify its position in its market.

A way to get resellers involved

The configurator has proven to be a great tool for uniting resellers around the manufacturer to energize the network of installers and provide them with a differentiating turnkey solution.

Record growth

Following the implementation of this strategy, part of a broader growth plan, the company returned to growth, reaching revenue levels it had never experienced before.
